The word "bullies" doesn't really do justice to what we are seeing and naming, does it? The belittling word "playground" comes to mind when I hear it, but we're really saying something more akin to "predator"... which more appropriately brings to mind the flesh-ripping "raptors" in Jurassic Park!
Now THIS is a psychological and spiritual diagnosis!
" As a Christians, our (1) lack of humility, (2) high degree of reactivity to difference, (3) epistemic arrogance (geez! is that a thing??) and (4) uncertainty avoidance conspire like a deadly cocktail to blind us and bind us to religious bullies.
